Eva Air Business Class Review Boeing 787-10 Seoul to Taipei

I flew Eva Air on the short hop from Seoul (ICN) to Taipei (TPE) and what a delight it was. It's incredible how polished the whole experience was for this short 2 hour flight. Let's get into the review!

How I Booked My Eva Air Business Class Ticket

I booked my Eva Air Business Class ticket 1 day before departure for 20,000 Air Canada Aeroplan miles + $45 in taxes and fees. The entire itinerary was

Eva Air Business Class Cabin and Seats

I actually got super lucky on this flight because there was an aircraft swap from the scheduled Airbus A330-300 to the Boeing 787-10. Eva Air's A330 uses a 2-2-2 configuration in business class which is inferior to their Boeing 787-10 business class cabin featuring 34 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. The cabin was sleek and modern and I loved the aesthetic of it.

Eva Air Boeing 787-10 business class has a big TV screen and good footwell space. Good sized TV screen and ample footwell space.

I chose the window seat 2K because the cabin has a staggered layout and only every other row is a "true window" seat. So rows 2,4,6 etc. are right against the window and more private. However, the bulkhead seats in row 1 have the added benefit of extra footwell space.

I really enjoyed the seat because it felt spacious and was quite comfortable. The footwell isn't that narrow and in bed mode, I was able to stretch out and not feel constricted like I was in Turkish Airlines' business class.

The entertainment system was intuitive and easy to use. I liked the HD screen but felt that the entertainment selection was a little bit limited.

Eva Air Business Class Amenities

Since this was such a short flight, there was no turndown service and no amenity kits or pajamas were given out.

One downside of Eva's business class is that wifi is not complimentary. You can use a free 30 min session but after that you need to pay.

Eva Air Business Class Food

After boarding, the flight attendant came around asking us for our choice of a pre-departure drink. I could choose from mineral water, green smoothie, or sparkling wine. I opted for the smoothie and it was tasty.

I'm super impressed that Eva Air still does 3 course meals along with a bread basket on these short intra-Asia flights. The appetizer was solid and the presentation is always on point.

I ordered the roasted pork neck and it was fantastic. That paired with the garlic bread made for a great meal.

However, the real star of the show was the matcha green tea. That drink was incredible and I'd highly recommend trying it!

I felt the dessert was pretty mediocre but for a short haul flight, I can't complain at all.

About 30 minutes before landing, the flight attendants came by with a tray of candies for us to choose from.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Eva Air business class is a fantastic experience and it doesn't get much better than this for a 2 hour flight. The Asian airlines have really perfected the short haul experience and this was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed the service, food, and seats!
