Starlux Airlines Business Class Review

Starlux has been gaining attention as an up-and-coming competitor from Taiwan and I was super excited to finally try them and see what all the hype was about. I managed to book Starlux business class on the long flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Taipei (TPE) and I can say that Starlux definitely lives up to the hype. Let's get into the review!

I was immediately wowed at how gorgeous the cabin is because of how modern and sleek it looks.

The seat had a good amount of storage space and the seat controls were super easy to use.

I chose the window seat 2K because it was the closest business class seat to the front of the plane. Starlux reserves row 1 as their "first class" which is just a bigger seat. It's a similar concept to how Singapore Airlines has a single row for first class on its Boeing 777-300.

The seat wasn't the most spacious but I loved how advanced the tech was and how private it was. There's a wireless charging pad inside the storage cubby and the TV is gigantic. Starlux definitely has the best tech I've seen to date. The screen has the highest quality resolution I've experienced and the entertainment selection was extensive. I loved how intuitive and easy it was to use and interact with the system.

Each passenger was given an amenity kit, slippers, and a set of pajamas shortly after boarding. It was crazy how we even received a face mask.

One of the highlights of this flight was undoubtedly the food. Starlux business class boasts an incredibly extensive drink and dining menu. Passengers could choose between Chinese-style and Western-style meals, and I opted for the Chinese-style option for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend trying this option if you have the chance.

To start off the journey, we received a pre-departure honey cucumber drink with a hot towel.

Overall, Starlux Airlines business class is an incredible experience that even rivals some international first class products. It's my favorite business class to date and I would definitely recommend trying it if you can!
